Soyoung You - MTNA Young Artist Piano winner:

Having won prizes and awards in her native Korea more than 2 times each year since the age of four, pianist Soyoung You has given recitals and performances in recognized venues in Korea, Japan, and the United States. Highlights of her young career include First Prizes in the 1997 Pusan Education Association National Competition, the 1994 Cheoyoung Regional Competition, the 1993 JC Competition in Korea, and the 1988 Se Jung Regional Competition. Since entering the Florida State University in the fall of 2007, Ms. You has received the 2007 Hill Scholarship and a Tallahassee Music Guild Scholarship. Her recent performances have included a debut with the University Philharmonia in Tallahassee, Florida, as a winner of  Florida State University’s 2007 Young Artist Competition, a solo appearance on the Cedarhurst Chamber Music Series in Mt. Vernon, Illinois which received a superlative press review, a debut with the Southern Illinois Symphony Orchestra in Carbondale, Illinois, as winner of its 2005 Concerto Competition, and a recitalist on the Prelude Performances Young Artist Series at the Sheldon in St. Louis, Missouri.
