Young Artist Performance - Brass:  Winner

Patrick Jankowski is a junior horn performance major at the Florida State University College of Music. He currently studies with Michelle Stebleton, and has previously received instruction from Lisa Bontrager, Dr. Karen Robertson, soloist Bruno Schneider, Shirley Hopkins-Civil of London, and David Wakefield of the American Brass Quintet and the Juilliard School. He has played in the distinguished Chamber Winds ensemble at FSU since his Freshman year, as well as the University Symphony, Philharmonia, Opera Orchestra, and Wind Orchestra. He is a founding member of a highly successful wind quintet, Terpsichore Winds, and was previously principle horn in the Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra for two years, under the direction of conductor and personal mentor Joseph Kreines. In 2008, Patrick was the winner of the top prize at the International Horn Society's Solo Competition in Denver, Colorado. He maintains a private studio of students in Tallahassee, and in his spare time enjoys bike rides, hiking, yoga, foreign and classic film, and pursuing his minor in International Affairs.
