Queenie Edwards, MTNA Junior Strings Representative winner began studying violin when she was 7 years old with Yan Jiang Lu. She participates in the Florida Federation of Music Clubs State Junior Convention, she won the FSMTA Junior Division (2005) and Intermediate Division (2008) String Concerto competition. She was the winner of the 2006 Division 1 Florida Midstate Teacher Association competition. In 2008 she earned 2nd place in the Junior Strings Division of the Florida Orchestra Young Artist Competition. In 2004 and 2005 she was the concert master for the Patel Conservatory Junior Philharmonic Orchestra and is currently playing in the Patel Conservatory Youth Orchestra.

Queenie is in the 9th grade at Sickles High School where she enjoys playing volleyball for her school team. She also enjoys the outdoors, shopping, and baking desserts.
