Senior Student Composition: Winner
Edward McCormack (Eddy) is a 2009 graduate of Pope John Paul High School in Boca Raton, Florida, receiving special honors as a senior in the top 10% of his class. He was selected as a student "Most Likely To Succeed" by Boca Magazine for a feature article published in October.

Eddy is a classically trained pianist, studying music for over 8 years with Mr. Harold Brown. He has also studied theory and composition for the past several years with published composer Donald Waxman. At age 12, Eddy wrote his first song, "Cool Morning". To date he has composed over 40 songs, including several contemporary pieces which were performed by his rock band at Revolution in Ft. Lauderdale.

During the summer Eddy volunteers his time with Alabaster Missionary Camp, performing at prisons, homeless shelters, nursing homes, schools and churches in Pennsylvania. He is currently attending Berklee College of Music in Boston where he plans to major in composition and film scoring.
