Doori Yoo

Young Artist Piano Winner

Doori Yoo began her musical training at age four in Korea and came to the United States to continue her training at age fifteen. First-prize winner of Topeka Symphony Youth Concerto Competition and the 2010 Chapman Competition, she won numerous other competitions in both Korea and the United States. She also actively performed in solo and chamber recitals since she moved to the States.

She is currently studying piano performance with Dr. Read Gainsford at Florida State University. Prior to coming to Tallahassee, she studied in Pensacola, Florida with Daisy de Luca Jaffe. At school, she frequently collaborates with other artists and with the New Music Ensemble.
