Moeko Takahashi

Junior Piano Concerto Competition: Honorable Mention

Moeko Takahashi was born and reared in Himeji, Japan. She moved to Florida 2 years ago, and she is in the 6th grade at Markham Woods Middle School in Lake Mary. She started playing the piano in Japan and she is continuing to study piano here in the United States with Dr. Oleg Barsov. She has won many prizes in piano and organ competitions in Japan as well as in the United States. She is a State Winner of the 2010 National Federation of Music Clubs Festivals in the Elementary Class 4 Piano Solo and Junior Class 2A Piano Concerto. She is also playing the French horn in her school band.
